How it works
What is a Kangen machine?
A Kangen machine is a water ionizer made by the Japanese manufacturer Enagic. It connects to your kitchen tap and treats tap water in two stages: filtration first, then electrolysis.

Filtration
Water passes through an activated carbon filter, which among other things reduces free chlorine in tap water.

Electrolysis
Inside a chamber fitted with platinum-coated titanium electrode plates, an electric voltage is applied. A membrane separates the areas around the negative and positive electrodes.

Two streams of water
On the negative side you get water with a higher pH (alkaline); on the positive side, water with a lower pH (acidic). You choose the setting you want.

Minerals in the water
The result depends on your tap water's composition: electrolysis works with the minerals that are already in the water.

Depending on the model and setting, the machine produces different types of water. Here's how they're used day to day:

How long does a demo take?
Allow about 45 to 60 minutes, depending on how many questions you have.

At my home in Ghent. I'll send you the exact address when I confirm your appointment.
Which machine will I see at the demo?
The demonstration is done with the Leveluk K8. Questions about another model, such as the SD501, Leveluk R or Anespa DX? Just send me a message and I'll tell you more.
Which language is the demo in?
Demonstrations are given in English only. I'll explain everything calmly and clearly, and you can ask as many questions as you like.
How is the machine connected?
Most models attach to your kitchen tap with a diverter and need a power socket. No permanent installation is required.
What maintenance is needed?
The filter needs replacing regularly, depending on usage and water quality. The machines rinse the electrolysis chamber automatically. I'll walk you through maintenance step by step during the demo.
Do you make any health claims?
No. I demonstrate how the machine works, its features and the types of water it produces. I don't give medical advice or make health claims. For any health questions, please talk to your doctor.
How much does a machine cost?
I'm happy to discuss prices and options in person, during or after the demonstration.
